In 2022 Morvah Consulting donated each month to Go Give One
Go Give One is a COVID-19 fundraising campaign with no borders. Created by the WHO Foundation, the campaign calls on everyone, everywhere to play their part in helping to vaccinate the world.
Their aim is to get 50 million people to take part in this campaign.
In 1925 the Treffry family gave a field to the Fowey Borough Council for use as a recreational field, it is still in use by the community today and has become known as Squires Field.
Squires Field Community Centre CIC has been set up to look after these facilities and provides regular activities and events for the local community. The directors and committee members are all volunteers who maintain the upkeep of the building and grounds with money raised through the hire of the centre, donations and grants.
Squires field currently has currently has a football pitch and pavilion, a community centre and a modern children’s play area. They have recently started up a youth club on a Friday evening which has proved to be incredibly popular with the young people in the town and the committee asked for some extra equipment for activities.
Morvah Consulting contacted the committee and offered to purchase some equipment for the youth club and were pleased to be able to provide them with some dodgeball equipment. Feedback so far from Sophie Burt (Director at SFCC) has been great with lots more fun to come…..
Every year in the spring e7’s calls for applications from young women ages 18-25 who want to make a difference in their communities and society. Usually, each cohort consists 65% of Emirates representing all seven Emirates, and 35% of long-term residents of the UAE of other nationalities.
Daughters of the Emirates is an incubator for social and environmental impact projects. It is also an annual community leadership program for 35 young women who call the United Arab Emirates their home; nationals and long term residents alike. From the inaugural e7 Summit to the final Graduation, e7 actively educates, inspires, and connects young women through a 9 month program.
Each cohort is supposed by a wider community of team members, mentors, workshop facilitators, alumnae, and corporate partners.
In 2018/2019 Sarah Morrin supported one of the groups, taking part in the initiative as a mentor.

Cornwall Education Learning Trust:
They are a large and dynamic multi-academy trust educating over 7,500 children and young people across Mid-Cornwall from Newquay on the Atlantic Coast to St Austell on the south coast. Their approach is simple: pupil leaning is at the centre of everything that they do, and they are focused above all on making teaching in their academies as good as it can be. The trust includes 4 secondary schools, 9 primary schools and 1 new primary school opening Sept 2021.
Every CELT academy is deeply committed not to ensuring that all children receive the same thing, but that every child gets what he or she needs in order to develop their unique potential and succeed in life. We want to establish CELT as a family of academies in which every child thrives, and in which excellence is achieved through equity.
Neil Morrin did a fundraiser walk, walking from coast to coast for Cornwall Hospice Care in order to raise money for all those who have lost someone. He walked from Fowey to Padstow along the Saints way in a day, it was 36 miles, which may not sound like much to the marathon runners among us, but it was the furthest that he had walked in a day. He raised an amazing amount of £541 for the Cornwall Hospice Care.
Cornwall Hospice Care:
Cornwall Hospice Care provides specialist care and support for people with terminal illnesses. Their clinical teams support patients and their loved ones in our hospices, within their acute hospitals and care homes and in the community through their Neighbourhood Hubs. They run two hospices – Mount Edgcumbe at St Austell and St Julia’s in Hayle. They also run a 24 hour advice line for other healthcare professionals.
It costs over £5m to provide this specialist care that they offer, with only 19% of this funded through a contribution from Cornwall’s NHS commissioners. The other £4m is raised through the support of the people of Cornwall and beyond, who leave gifts in their wills, support their fundraising events, play their lottery and visit their charting shops and donation centres across Cornwall.
